Warrior Quest is a primarily text-based dark-fantasy RPG built around player choice. Most encounters can be resolved through diplomacy, stealth, or avoidance, although players who choose combat will encounter it regularly. Violence is conveyed through text rather than graphic visual depictions. The game includes written references to blood, injury, corpses, death, and occasional grotesque descriptions. Its static artwork depicts characters and fantasy environments but does not show graphic gore. Rare or obscure optional outcomes may involve suicide or other disturbing events. Children appear in dangerous situations but can always be rescued; harm occurs only if the player deliberately chooses it.
