Player Characters use swords, staffs, and magic attacks to defeat human enemies and creatures (e.g., wolves, bears, plant monsters). Battles are accompanied by slashing sounds and colorful light effects; damage is indicated by depleting health meters and a loss of hit points. Cutscenes depict more intense acts of violence: characters getting impaled, thrown against walls, or stabbed. A character throws herself towards an enemy and explodes, seemingly committing suicide.
