Blade is an action game based on the 1998 film Blade. It was developed by HammerHead for the PlayStation in 2000, and by HAL Laboratory and Avit Inc. for the Game Boy Color. The game was published by Activision and serves as a prequel to the movie, following the adventure of Blade with help of his mentor and friend Abraham Whistler. Reviews were mixed, with criticism of the graphics, camera, controls, and voice acting.

The story

Acting as a prequel to the 1998 blockbuster film, BLADE follows the eponymous vampire hunter and his mentor Whistler as they stumble upon a sinister plot involving an ancient evil that threatens the lives of every citizen in Gothic City, and ultimately, the world. With various vampire clans within the House of Erebus colluding to unleash an unstoppable force of darkness upon the world, Blade must use his arsenal of superhuman strength, silver bullets, glaives, and acid-etched titanium sword to slay the vampiric monsters seeking to end the world as we know it.
