Bayonetta
The story
Bayonetta is a witch, having woken up 20 years ago from a casket in the bottom of a secluded lake. In an effort to uncover the truth of her forgotten past, Bayonetta travels to the holy city of Vigrid in Europe, the ancestral home of the Lumen Sages, worshippers of light, and the Umbra Witches, followers of darkness. As she is pitted against a seemingly endless army of angels, including another Umbra Witch named Jeanne, she follows a mysterious voice and is accompanied by suave journalist Luka Redgrave, as well as young and innocent Cereza, whose mysterious appearance may be connected to the mystery behind her lost memories.
